☀️ Sustainable vacation: Pension Linder relies on solar energy
The Pension Linder in Seeboden is consistently pursuing the path to a greener future - with the successful Commissioning of a modern photovoltaic system at the location Bäderweg 6. In cooperation with the company Electrical engineering Holzer Peter a high-performance system with 20 kW power and a 21 kWh electricity storage installed. This means that we can now 40 % of our annual electricity requirement by self-generated, clean energy.
This investment in the future is not only a contribution to the Climate protectionbut also a clear commitment to responsibility towards our region, our guests and future generations.
🔌 What is a photovoltaic system actually?
One Photovoltaic system (PV system) converts sunlight directly into electrical energy. This is done by so-called Solar cellswhich are Photovoltaic modules are installed on the roof. When sunlight hits these cells, an electrical voltage is generated - the so-called Direct currentwhich was then followed by a Inverter in usable Alternating current for household appliances.
The centerpiece of our system is also a Power storage with 21 kWhwhich buffers the energy produced during the day and also makes it usable in the evening hours. This means that a large part of the guesthouse's electricity requirements can be covered independently of the public grid - a great advantage, especially on sunny days!
🌍 A step towards sustainability
The decision to install a photovoltaic system was based on our desire, Conserve resources, to operate emission-free and long-term less dependent on rising energy costs to become. Especially in the hotel industry, where energy is needed around the clock for heating, hot water, lighting and cooking, such a step is not only sensible - it is necessary.
The energy generated each year significantly reduces the boarding house's CO₂ emissions and helps to ensure that our business can continue to operate in the future. Ecologically compatible remains.
⚡ EEG Pension Linder - Generating energy together
A particular highlight of this changeover is the establishment of the EEG Pension Linder - one Energy generation community (EEG), which is committed to local electricity production. This form of cooperation makes it possible to use and share the generated energy collectively and perhaps also connect it with other regional partners in the future.
The EEG is an expression of a new understanding of energyaway from centralized structures, towards regional, transparent and fair solutions - in the spirit of sustainable development.
One EEG - short for Renewable Energy Community - is a legally defined form of communal electricity use, which is regulated in Austria by the Renewable Energies Expansion Act (EAG) was made possible.

In an EEG, several participants - for example households, companies or public institutions - come together to generate, store and use renewable energy together. The electricity generated (e.g. by a photovoltaic system) is consumed locally, which reduces the load on the grid, lowers electricity costs and strengthens regional value creation.
In the EEG Pension Linder This means that the solar power generated locally can also be shared and used jointly with other regional members in the future - for a Sustainable, decentralized energy supply.
